Monday Lesson

ChaCha

Step 1 - Triple ChaChas with turns

Start with an open crossbody lead on 2 and 3. After the follower passes on 4 and 1, switch to open cross-hand hold with right hands on 2 and 3 followed by lock steps on 4 and 1. Both partners turn clockwise on 2 and 3 with the follower turning backward and the leader turning forward.

This is follow by lock steps on 4 and 1 with open cross-hand hold with the left hand. Both partners turn count-clockwise on 2 and 3 again with the follower turning backward and the leader turning forward.

The right hand cross-hand hold is retaken for the lock steps on 4 and 1 and then the leader executes a forward rock step on 2 and 3 followed by lock steps on 4 and 1 with the leader locking back.

The turns of the pattern are reversed now with the leader turning backward and the follower turning forward alternating first clockwise and then counter clockwise.

The pattern ends by the leader taking the follower across his center in cross-hand hold with a full turn, changing hands into a cross over.

Foxtrot

Step 1 - Open twinkle to develope and dip

The step begins facing diagonal center with a left turning box and inside turn. The leader steps forward leading an open twinkle with a circular arm styling and then the leader and follower exchange places as the leader goes under the arm.

The leader executes a chasse while leading the follower into an outside turn. This is followed by a two-hand hold into a develope by the follower.

After the develope, the follower does an inside turn as the leader does side-together-side, catches the follower's back and leads a dip.

Tango

Step 1 - Stalk with Oversway

The leader starts with two slow steps in promenade and then two quick steps ending in a lunge line. He supports the follower as she does her backdrop, and then step out to the right. The drop lasts for five counts of slow.

The follower's part is a natural opposite but with the lady exaggerating the oversway line.

Step 2 - Parallel Side Stalk

The leader first does an outside swivel, putting the follower to his left side and then moves her to his right side. He then starts his stalking actions for four. Then he hooks underneath, sending the follower back to his left side, does a swivel and a tango ending.

The follower does a natural opposite with a swivel then moving to the leader's left side. She then dances to the leader's right side. They do a series of four stalks together. She returns to the leader's left side and does a fan ending.

Step 3 - Outside Flick

The leader steps two steps into promenade and then a right side lunge and then back to promenade.

The follower steps two steps in promenade and when the leader lunges, takes her heel up by the leader's knee in an Argentine gancho.

Step 4 - Swivel to Open Fan with Sliding Doors

The leader dances forward side back and forward together side making a line. Then side-close-side to the left, side-close-side to the right in the sliding door pattern. Then forward at an angle, forward at an angle and forward side close.

The follower does an open left turn into a swivel then an outside position side by side. Then side-close-side to the right, side-close-side to the left. Swivel forward, swivel forward and forward side close.

Step 5 - Three Fan Combination

Leader dances forward side back, then forward, back, forward as he fans the follower. Then he steps in to a left rock turn with a forward side close.

The follower does an open left turn stepping outside to the first swivel, second and third swivels. Then connect with the leader, rock and close.
